How to open custom menu links in a new tab with WordPress?
When creating a menu with WordPress, you can decide that a menu item links to an external page by adding a Custom Link, so that it opens in a new tab. For that you need to check an option located below the Navigation label field of the menu item and named "Open link in a new tab". If this option is not visible simply follow the steps to activate the option :
1. Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
2. Appearance >> Menus.
3. Click on the "Screen Options" in the top right corner.
4. Check the "Link Target" option : this will reveal the "Open link in a new tab" option.
5. Create a custom link menu.
6. It will show the "Open link in a new tab" option with checkbox.
7. Check a checkbox and Save it.
